It takes a great deal of effort to provide the volleyball community
with quality major grass and sand tournaments as well as our small
and invitational local tournaments at our home sand courts. If you
are interested in helping run a major or local tournament, please
send us an email.
VBAtl Home Sand Courts in Virginia Highland
Neighborhood: Located in John
Howell Park in one of Atlanta's oldest in-town neighborhoods,
Volleyball Atlanta designed and built these courts in conjunction
with the City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation, the Virginia Highlands
Civic Association, and the LAMP project, begining in 1981. For over
30 years, this has been the location for the most competitive beach
ball in Atlanta. Membership in Volleyball Atlanta is a requirement
to play at the courts. Open play four nights a week, tournaments
or open play on the weekends. Whether playing at a very competitive
level, just learning the game, or playing at the BB/B level, our
scheduling on the courts is designed to give
time to all.
Drop-In Grass or Sand Games
Several locations around town have friendly or competitive play.
Generally organized by individuals or informal groups. Let us know
if you know of a standing games you'd like advertised here.
